“I dream of dying for them, help me to live for them.”

Father Julián (Ricardo Darín) and Father Nicolás (Jérémie Renier) are building a hospital for the people of a Buenos Aires shantytown, working side by side as they have for years. Pablo Trapero sets the project against the crowded, unfinished streets around it, and Julián, worn down by the work, finds some relief in Luciana (Martina Gusmán), a young atheist social worker. Nicolás keeps going, and Julián is a tired man still showing up every day.
