Gabriel Tancredi (Michael Rooker), an ex-marine, is sent out by the mob to do the jobs nobody else wants. His boss Arnold Soloman (Bruce Willis) and the fixer Glen Follett (John Malkovich) keep handing him more, and Jesse V. Johnson keeps him moving from one night to the next. Gabriel holds a code of honor from his service days, and every job asks him to set it down a little further.
