White Line Fever

“The organization says: Everybody drives for them. Carrol Jo says: I drive for myself.”

Carrol Jo Hummer (Jan-Michael Vincent) is a young Air Force veteran who comes home and buys his own rig, determined to haul freight without answering to anyone. His wife Jerri (Kay Lenz) is pregnant, and the payments on the truck are already due. Jonathan Kaplan puts the two of them on the highway, Carrol's hands on the wheel and Jerri beside him, the white line unspooling in the headlights.
