White Mischief

“In a world of wife swapping, drugs and chocolate covered lobsters, murder seemed so uncivilised.”

Jock Delves Broughton (Joss Ackland), a wealthy man past his prime, lands in Kenya around 1940 with his young wife Diana (Greta Scacchi). The British expatriates there swap partners, take drugs and go from party to horse race while the war gathers at home. Michael Radford follows Diana into an affair with Josslyn Hay (Charles Dance), and the film shows how little a colony built on money and idleness has to hold it together.
