Who Wants to Kill Jessie?

“A comedy about a prohibited beauty.”

In a Czechoslovak apartment, characters who should exist only on a sleeping man's mind-screen start turning up in the flesh. A scientist has built a machine that projects dreams, and Doc. Jindrich Beránek (Jiří Sovák) must deal with a comic-strip Jessie (Olga Schoberová), a caped Superman (Juraj Višný), and a gunslinger loose in the rooms. Václav Vorlíček stages it all like a picture-book come alive, bright and fast and a little giddy.
