Four couples fly to the Bahamas for their annual vacation, a week set aside to sit down and take stock of their marriages. Terry (Tyler Perry) and Patricia (Janet Jackson) arrive with the rest, and then Sheila (Jill Scott)'s ex-husband turns up, determined to win her back. Tyler Perry keeps the group close and talkative, and each pair has to face the other couples across the table.
