Wicked

“Evil never looked so good.”

The Christiansons live on a cul-de-sac in an oppressive suburb, until Karen, wife and mother, is brutally murdered in her own home. Her teenage daughter Ellie (Julia Stiles) starts taking on her mother's demeanor and mannerisms, while her father Ben (William R. Moses) develops a less-than-innocent interest in the live-in nanny, Lena. Michael Steinberg's film treats a family as a household that keeps its habits and roles going after a death, even when it shouldn't.
