Wicked City

“For centuries a treaty has existed between the human world and the realm of the demons.”

Renzaburo Taki (Yusaku Yara) is a human agent who wants the treaty with the Black World to hold, and he gets his chance when he is paired with Makie (Toshiko Fujita), a demon on the same side of the law. Their orders are to guard a diplomat whose signature could secure a second treaty. Yoshiaki Kawajiri draws it all in the hard shadows of a late-night city, where Taki and Makie share one cramped space and the dark presses in.
