Wide Awake

“Meeting your best friend. Finding your favorite teacher. Having your first crush. Remember what it felt like to be...”

Joshua Beal (Joseph Cross), ten years old and in a Catholic school, sets out to find God after his grandfather dies, asking priests, nuns and classmates what happened to him. M. Night Shyamalan follows him through the school year, with Sister Terry (Rosie O'Donnell) and his best friend Dave O'Hara (Timothy Reifsnyder) among those he questions. At home, Mr. Beal (Denis Leary) and Mrs. Beal (Dana Delany) watch their son grieve, and neither knows how to reach him.
