William (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) is a detective in the near future, still grieving his wife, who spends his days tracking criminals who sell artificial humans on the black market. Meredith (Elena Kampouris), the artificial companion built to take his wife's place, starts to see memories of a past life she cannot explain. James Bird sets the two inside a resistance plan to corrupt her programming, and neither can tell whose memories are whose.
