“Newly Rich. Newly Single. Forever Young.”

In 2016, Eva (Shirley MacLaine), a widow who has settled into a quiet, narrowing life, opens an envelope and finds an insurance check for $5,000,000, a clerical slip of two zeros on the $50,000 she was owed. Andy Tennant sends her off with her oldest friend Maddie (Jessica Lange), the money already in hand. Eva has spent a long time being careful, and she is not sure she remembers how to be anything else.
