Wild Orchid
“An adventure of the senses.”
Emily Reed (Carré Otis), a young lawyer, arrives in Rio de Janeiro to help close a deal for Claudia Dennis (Jacqueline Bisset) and meets James Wheeler (Mickey Rourke), a self-made millionaire. She is soon drawn into his orbit, and a series of erotic encounters follows. Zalman King shoots it slowly in sun-washed light, giving the wealth and the heat the same unhurried pace.
