Wildhood

Link (Phillip Forest Lewitski) is a teenager who has spent years under the thumb of his abusive father, Arvin (Joel Thomas Hynes). He runs with his younger brother, and the road leads him toward the Mi'kmaw side of his family and a boy named Pasmay (Joshua Odjick). Bretten Hannam, who wrote and directed, keeps the camera close on Link, so his first nervous steps toward both feel immediate.
