Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?

(1957)Directed by Frank Tashlin93 minComedy, Romance
“Man, oh man, oh Mansfield!”

Rockwell P. Hunter (Tony Randall), an ad man whose career is sinking, needs a sex symbol to endorse a lipstick before he loses his job. Rita Marlowe (Jayne Mansfield) will do it, but only if he pretends to be her lover. Frank Tashlin aims this satire at the advertising business and the new television sets pulling people out of theaters, and Rita is in his frame in full color, hair and dress and lips all pitched for the camera.
