Soo-hyun (Kim Yoon-seok) is a surgeon who has spent his life saving other people's patients and is now dying himself. He is offered a set of unusual capsules that carry him back in time to Yeon-ah (Chae Seo-jin), the woman he lost, where he meets his younger self (Byun Yo-han). Hong Ji-young, adapting Guillaume Musso's novel, keeps the camera close on the older man's face as he looks at what he can no longer have.
