Willard
“This is Willard and his friend Ben. Ben will do anything for Willard.”
Willard Stiles (Bruce Davison) is a lonely young man who lives with his ailing mother Henrietta (Elsa Lanchester) and gets mocked by the co-workers at the company his late father started. His boss Al Martin (Ernest Borgnine) has been squeezing him out, and the only company Willard keeps at home are the rats he has raised, Ben and Socrates. Daniel Mann directs it in the gritty, dim-lit manner of a late-night picture.
