Willow

(1988)Directed by Ron Howard126 min · PGFantasy, Adventure, Action
“A world where heroes come in all sizes and adventure is the greatest magic of all.”

A newborn girl is carried out of a royal dungeon, and a prophecy says she will end the reign of Queen Bavmorda, who has her hunters out looking. The baby ends up with Willow (Warwick Davis), a timid farmer who dreams of being a sorcerer and has never gone farther than his own village. Ron Howard sends him out on a road crowded with a roguish swordsman, Madmartigan (Val Kilmer), and the film keeps asking what a small, frightened person can carry.
