Jack Powell (Charles 'Buddy' Rogers) and David Armstrong (Richard Arlen) are both in love with Sylvia Lewis (Jobyna Ralston), and neither man seems to see that she has already chosen. They enlist as Air Corps fighter pilots, one from a rich family and one from a middle-class home. William A. Wellman puts the two friends into World War I, with Mary Preston (Clara Bow) waiting back home, and the risk is losing each other before the war ever does.
