Winter's Bone

Ree Dolly (Jennifer Lawrence), seventeen, learns that her father put the family house up as bond and then vanished, and she has days to find him. She goes door to door through the Ozarks, asking relatives and neighbors, among them her uncle Teardrop (John Hawkes), who would rather she stopped asking. Debra Granik sets it in the hills of Missouri, and if Ree fails, her mother and two younger siblings lose their home.
