With Honors

“If you want a degree go to Harvard. If you want an education go to Simon Wilder.”

Monty Kessler (Brendan Fraser) is a senior at Harvard, sure that his thesis will carry him to graduation with honors. Then the only copy lands in the hands of Simon Wilder (Joe Pesci), a homeless man living in the basement of the library, who will give it back a few pages at a time. Alek Keshishian lets the two of them keep talking, and the cold, rule-bound student starts to need the stubborn old man more than the paper.
