With Open Arms

“Thanks for the invitation!”

Jean-Étienne Fougerole (Christian Clavier) is a celebrated writer whose new novel, "In Open Arms," urges the wealthy to take in families in need. On a televised debate he is challenged to do it himself, and fearing he'll be discredited, he accepts. That evening a Roma family, headed by Babik (Ary Abittan), rings at the gate of his villa in Marnes-la-Coquette, and Philippe de Chauveron leaves the writer standing in his doorway with his own book still in his hand.
