Without a Clue

“The flip side of Sherlock Holmes”

In Victorian London, the great Sherlock Holmes (Michael Caine) is a fraud, an actor hired to play the detective while Dr. John Watson (Ben Kingsley) quietly solves the cases. Thom Eberhardt sets the two in a sharp-dressed, stage-lit version of Baker Street where the act has grown bigger than the man behind it. Watson fires his insufferable star and finds the public wants no one else, so he is stuck with a reputation he built himself.
