Witness

“A big city cop. A small country boy. They have nothing in common... but a murder.”

A young Amish boy named Samuel (Lukas Haas) sees a man murdered in a Philadelphia railroad station, and the detective who takes the case, John Book (Harrison Ford), finds his own life in danger. With nowhere safe left in the city, Book takes Samuel and his mother Rachel (Kelly McGillis) back to their community. Peter Weir leaves the detective in a plain farmhouse, among people who dress, work and pray as they have for generations.
