Witness for the Prosecution

Sir Wilfrid (Charles Laughton) has just been sent home from the hospital with orders to avoid exactly the kind of case that lands on his desk, a murder charge against Leonard Vole (Tyrone Power). The wealthy woman is dead, Vole is the one accused, and his wife Christine (Marlene Dietrich) holds the testimony that could settle it. Billy Wilder sets it all in the Old Bailey, where a man's neck and an old barrister's heart are both on the line.
