“Family vacations can be tricky.”

On a family vacation to the Caribbean, Alex Russo (Selena Gomez) is grounded, makes a careless wish, and casts a curse on the people she loves. She has to find a magical stone to undo it, while her brother Justin (David Henrie) works to keep their parents, Theresa (Maria Canals-Barrera) and Jerry (David DeLuise), together. Lev L. Spiro films it in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and the real trouble is that Alex and Justin rarely agree on anything.
