Woman in Chains

Stanislas Hassler (Laurent Terzieff) runs a gallery and wants the newest, most startling art in his collection, so he buys a sculpture by Gilbert (Bernard Fresson). Gilbert's wife Josée (Elisabeth Wiener) is drawn to the gallery owner at once, unaware of the photographs he keeps and what they show. Clouzot, in his only color film, follows Josée as her fascination pulls her toward a man she has misjudged.
