Woman of the Lake

Miyako Mizuki (Mariko Okada) is a married woman who lets her lover, Ginpei Momoi (Shigeru Tsuyuguchi), take naked pictures of her. The photographs reach a man who starts blackmailing the couple. Yoshishige Yoshida adapts Yasunari Kawabata's 1954 novel The Lake, and the film turns on how a secret held between two people changes once a third person is holding it.
