Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown

Pepa (Carmen Maura) is an actress whose lover Iván leaves her with no explanation, so she sets out to find him and learn why. Pedro Almodóvar fills her search with strangers, among them Iván's son from an earlier relationship and her friend Candela (María Barranco), who is tangled up with a Shiite terrorist cell. Every hour Pepa spends chasing an answer, her own life comes apart a little more.
