“Who gives you the courage to face the world?”

Auggie Pullman (Jacob Tremblay) has spent his first ten years mostly at home because of a facial difference. When his parents, Isabel (Julia Roberts) and Nate (Owen Wilson), enroll him in a private school in Manhattan, he enters a world where nobody knows him yet. Chbosky follows Auggie through a school year where kindness and cruelty arrive in quick succession, each small moment a test of who wants to look closer.
