Won't Back Down

“If you can't beat the system... change it”

Jamie Fitzpatrick (Maggie Gyllenhaal) wants one thing, a school that will actually teach her daughter. Nona Alberts (Viola Davis), a teacher inside that same failing building, comes from a different corner of the community but wants it too. Daniel Barnz puts the two women across a table, a mother and a teacher with little in common, facing a bureaucracy that has stopped listening.
