Words on Bathroom Walls

“If you can't trust your mind, trust your heart.”

Halfway through his senior year, Adam (Charlie Plummer) is diagnosed with schizophrenia and moves to a Catholic school, where he hides the voices from everyone but his mother, Beth (Molly Parker). Then he meets Maya (Taylor Russell), a sharp, driven classmate who keeps pulling him into conversation and out of his shell. Thor Freudenthal puts the hallucinations on screen as figures standing right beside Adam in the school's hallways and classrooms.
