WR: Mysteries of the Organism

“The film they said we would never see...”

Milena (Milena Dravić) is a young woman in communist Yugoslavia who preaches sexual freedom to her neighbors and wants the whole country to loosen up. Dušan Makavejev cuts her story against documentary footage of the psychoanalyst Wilhelm Reich and his theories about the energy released in orgasm. Her appetite runs straight into a state that wants its citizens disciplined, and Vladimir Ilyich (Ivica Vidović) is the man she sets her sights on.
