Wu Yen

Chung Wu Yen (Sammi Cheng Sau-man), a local chief, is the bride the stars have picked for Emperor Qi (Anita Mui Yim-fong), though she has no idea he is about to wander out of the woods and into her life. When the emperor frees a fox fairy (Cecilia Cheung) by accident, she falls for both and switches between man and woman to court each. Johnnie To and Wai Ka-fai build the film on the tangle that follows, three people chasing someone who is chasing someone else.
