WUSA

“Love it or leave it.”

The station's signal reaches across New Orleans, and its owners are hiding what the broadcasts are for. Rheinhardt (Paul Newman) is a cynical drifter who takes the announcer's job at WUSA and reads its right-wing editorials without believing them. Stuart Rosenberg watches him with Geraldine (Joanne Woodward), who keeps asking what he actually thinks, and Rheinhardt has no answer ready.
