A hot spring village in the Japanese countryside is where Shiyori (Nao Matsushita) goes to get over a failed love affair, with her friend Aiko (Ami Suzuki) along for the trip. After a long soak they split off to their separate cabins, and the village turns out to belong to a cult that cuts the legs off women. Kenta Fukasaku cuts between several points of view and time frames, so the girls' fate comes in pieces, through calls between their mobile phones.
