Xanadu

“A Fantasy, A Musical, A Place Where Dreams Come True.”

A young woman named Kira (Olivia Newton-John) steps down from a mural in Los Angeles, a Greek muse sent to Earth with no explanation to the people around her. She steers a struggling artist, Sonny Malone (Michael Beck), toward the retired bandleader Danny McGuire (Gene Kelly), and the two set out to build a roller disco called Xanadu. Robert Greenwald stages it with Newton-John on skates, the music running from Electric Light Orchestra to Cliff Richard.
