Yalancı Yarim

Ferdi (Tarık Akan) is a young man who takes a lie further than he meant to, and he keeps telling it to Alev (Emel Sayın), the woman he is trying to win. Ertem Eğilmez fills the film with neighbours and relatives like Derviş Başak (Münir Özkul) and Kemal (Kemal Sunal), all of whom have a stake in who Ferdi says he is. The last thing the film leaves us is Ferdi's face, warm and a little sheepish, still holding onto the story he told.
