“Everyone in the world has forgotten The Beatles. Everyone except Jack…”

Jack Malik (Himesh Patel) has played to nearly empty rooms for years and wants badly to be a songwriter people actually hear. Then he wakes up in a world where nobody has heard of The Beatles, and he is the only one who knows every song. Danny Boyle follows Jack and his oldest friend Ellie (Lily James) as a borrowed catalogue turns him into someone else's idea of a star.
