Yokai Monsters: 100 Monsters

“A fantastic world unlike anything you have ever seen!”

Reimon Tajimaya (Takashi Kanda) is a developer who, with a corrupt Shrine Magistrate beside him, tries to force the tenants out of their building and tear down the shrine behind it. To scare off the poor, he hosts a night of 100 Ghost Stories, then skips the cleansing ritual that is supposed to close it. Kimiyoshi Yasuda fills the screen with the yokai themselves, built by special effects artist Yoshiyuki Kuroda.
