Young & Beautiful

On a summer holiday, seventeen-year-old Isabelle (Marine Vacth) loses her virginity to a boy she barely knows, then goes home and starts selling herself to older men in secret. Her mother Sylvie (Géraldine Pailhas) and stepfather Patrick (Frédéric Pierrot) notice nothing, and Isabelle gives no reason for what she does. François Ozon films her with a steady, unhurried calm and never lets the camera explain her.
