Young and Innocent

“A romantic murder-mystery drama!”

Robert Tisdall (Derrick De Marney), a young writer, is accused of murdering a famous actress and slips away from the police. He finds an ally in Erica Burgoyne (Nova Pilbeam), the daughter of a police constable, who has to put herself at risk to help him prove his innocence. Hitchcock builds toward one elaborate crane shot that he devised himself, and it is the film's boldest piece of staging.
