Young Goethe in Love

A young man has failed his law exams, and nobody can say what the poetry in his head is good for. Johann Wolfgang Goethe (Alexander Fehling) is sent to a sleepy provincial court to straighten himself out, and there he meets Lotte Buff (Miriam Stein), already promised to Albert Kestner (Moritz Bleibtreu). Philipp Stölzl keeps the three of them close, so Goethe's longing sits in plain view of the man she is going to marry.
