“The story of Abraham Lincoln that has NEVER been told!”
A murder at a country fair leaves two brothers accused, and the only lawyer who will stand up for them is the new one in Springfield. Abraham Lincoln (Henry Fonda), still young and still grieving Ann Rutledge, takes the case while Mary Todd (Marjorie Weaver) watches him settle into town. John Ford keeps the camera mostly still and lets Fonda's long frame and slow voice carry each courtroom scene.
