Young Woman and the Sea
“Defy the odds.”
In the 1920s, a young American swimmer named Trudy Ederle (Daisy Ridley) trains for the Olympic team in a world that does not want women in the water. Her older sister Meg (Tilda Cobham-Hervey) backs her from the start, and Joachim Rønning follows the two of them toward the English Channel. Twenty-one miles lie between France and England, and Trudy stands at the edge of that cold water.
