Jim (Will Ferrell) and Margot (Reese Witherspoon) each want to throw the perfect wedding on the same day at the same venue, and neither will budge. Their dueling ceremonies pull in their families, their friends, and everyone caught between them as the date approaches. By the end, both of them have to decide what a wedding is actually for.
