Yumeji
Yumeji Takehisa (Kenji Sawada), a painter and poet, wants a face he can finally paint the way he feels it, and he finds it in a beautiful widow with a dark past. The facts give her little more than that, and the film lets her stay half imagined, a woman he may be inventing as he looks. Seijun Suzuki, closing his Taishō Roman Trilogy, stages this life as a surreal picture of the Taishō era.
