An extradimensional warlord named Steppenwolf arrives on Earth seeking three Mother Boxes that would reshape the world for his master, Darkseid. Batman (Ben Affleck) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) gather a fractured group to stop him: Cyborg (Ray Fisher), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), and the newly resurrected Superman (Henry Cavill). Snyder stages the battle across mythic scale and operatic color, letting each hero's power bloom in the frame.
