“The origin of the angry young man.”

In 1973 India, Inspector Vijay Khanna (Amitabh Bachchan) is a police officer who stays honest in a city where crime pays well. His investigation brings him up against Seth Dharam Dayal Teja (Ajit Khan), a crime boss who is, unknown to Vijay, the murderer of his parents. Prakash Mehra puts Vijay on screen with Mala (Jaya Bachchan) and Sher Khan (Pran), and every scene is shot in the grain of a 70s street.
