Zatoichi's Conspiracy

Zatoichi (Shintarō Katsu), the blind swordsman, wants only to see his home village again after many years away. Omiyo (Yukiyo Toake), who shared his wet-nurse, welcomes him, but his boyhood friend Shinbei (Eiji Okada) has grown rich and doesn't seem to know him. Kimiyoshi Yasuda lets Zatoichi walk the village in grainy light, his cane tapping, listening for the place he remembers.
