Zero Effect

“The world's most private detective.”

Nobody has seen the world's most private detective, yet the cases he solves keep landing on his assistant's desk. Steve Arlo (Ben Stiller) handles every client and errand, while Daryl Zero (Bill Pullman) stays shut inside, writing bad songs and unable to say what to do with himself once the work stops. Jake Kasdan's debut treats the brilliant mind and the helpless man as the same person.
